Open Call - Interlude Exhibition

The 'Interlude Exhibition' showcases the distinct voices, artistry and creative capacity of a diverse group of international artists exploring the concept of 'interlude' as a bridge between the art and the public.

ABOUT THE VENUE

Espaço Ira Rebella opened its doors in December 2018, with the aim of promoting artistic experimentalism through cultural events, courses, meetings and interdisciplinarity, with a focus on the visual arts. 

Its main objective is to strengthen the independent circuit of emerging visual artists from different places, enriching their curricula and providing a physical and virtual space of visibility from a prestigious region of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

All the artists that took part on either Sonora, Chronos or Portal exhibitions are welcome to participate in the Interlude Exhibition.

This a good opportunity to present your work to a new audience and also have another Brazilian exhibition in a different venue in your CV.

PARTICIPATION FEE

• £40 (for prints or videos)

Please make your payment as soon as possible so we can secure your spot. 

Participation Fee Includes

• Exhibition space at Espaço Ira Rebella

• Curating and organising the exhibition

• Hanging the artworks

• Digital Catalogue - Includes a short bio/artist statement, image of the artists' works and portfolio links (part of this website)

• Print material (poster, labels, etc)

• Marketing and promotion

• Private View

• Pictures of the artists' work in the venue to document the event

REFUND POLICY

After being selected and making the deposit, the artists will be part of the show and we will hold their spaces. If the artist cancel close to the date, it is nearly impossible for us to schedule another artist in her/his place. If a personal emergency occurs, you have the following options: find another artist to take your place or cancel your participation.

If you cancel your participation there are NO REFUNDS (but substitutions are allowed).

SALES AND COMMISSION

No commission on sales.

Buyers can pay the artist directly by PayPal and the curator will arrange the pickup with the buyer after the exhibition is over.

• Exhibition Starts: Saturday 30 July 2022 (Mon - Sat: 2 - 8pm)

• Private View: Saturday 30 July (6 - 10pm)

• Exhibition Ends: Saturday 13 August 2022
